It was built in the 16th century. The life of the Saint is illustrated in the frescoed barrel vault and in a painting in the left aisle; the altars were built thanks to wealthy local families, who endowed the church with important art works.
 
The veneration for the Virgin Mary is very important and two art works bear witness to the devotion of the people: the alabaster statue called "Madonna con Bambino", brought from England by the Count Pietro Giulio Cristiani in 1551, together with an alabaster "Trinità" and the wooden statue of the "Madonna della Visitazione" dating back to the 18th century.
 
This statue, attributed to Anton Maria Maragliano, who is likely the author of the "Angelo Annunciante", located in the chapel of the Sacred Heart, is carried in procession every year during the solemn celebrations of the "Madonna di Luglio" Another piece worth mentioning is the baroque choir in walnut wood, which probably comes from the church of Santa Croce, of which only the belfry still remains.
